Torah Portion:
יֹום כִּ ּפּור
Yom Kippur
“Repentance”
Leviticus 16,18
Numbers 29:7-11
Isaiah 57:14-58:14

Leviticus 16:29-34 It shall be a statute to you forever: In the
seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict
your souls, and shall do no kind of work, the native-born, or the
stranger who lives as a foreigner among you: For on this day shall
atonement be made for you, to cleanse you, from all your sins you
shall be clean before the LORD. It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to
you, and you shall afflict your souls, it is a statute forever. The priest,
who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s
place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments,
even the holy garments. Then he shall make atonement for the
Holy Sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the Tent of
Meeting and for the altar, and he shall make atonement for the
priests and for all the people of the assembly. This shall be an
everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children
of Israel once in the year because of all their sins. It was done as the
LORD commanded Moses.

Exodus 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and
forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he
wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten
commandments.

Leviticus 16:2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron
thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within
the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die
not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and
there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: And there
were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and
great hail.

Thanks for the teaching.
There are 2 Yom Kippurs at the end of the 70th week of Daniel.
1.1st Yom Kippur - seen in Rev 8 :3-5. The angel with the golden censer with the prayer of the saints that ascended before God
( equivalent to the sweet incense and the cloud that cover the mercy seat in Lev 16 : 12-14). The fire from the altar to begin the 7 Trumpet judgments is a allusion to the sprinkling of the blood with the finger 7 times before the mercy seat in Lev 16 :14

2 2nd Yom Kippur - seen in Rev 15 :5-8. v5 The temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. The ark of the testimony/covenant is only seen only seen by the High priest once a year. In this instance, it is the angels clothed in pure bright linen ( cross ref to Lev 16 3-4 - holy linen tunic to be worn on Yom Kippur). v8, no one is to enter until the plagues ( 7 Bowl judgments are completed - rep by the sprinkling of blood on the mercy seat 7 times). This compares with Lev 16 :17 - There shall be no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, that he may make atonement for himself, for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

How do we know that there are 2 Yom Kippurs between the Trumpet & Bowl judgments? Rev 8 : 3 kicks off the Trumpet judgments,
Rev 8 :7-13 records for us the 1st-4th Trumpet. Then in Rev 9, Apollyon and his troops were given authority to torment men for 5 months. Subsequently, we have the 6th trumpet in Rev 9 :13-20 and then in Rev 15 is the preview to the Bowl judgments ( actual Bowl judgment is executed in Rev 16. ) . In Rev 15 : 5-8, we see the 2nd Yom Kippur. This is the sequence of events ( from 1st Trumpet to final Bowl judgments). As such, there are 2 Yom Kippurs during this period of time.
It is consistent with Isa 34 : 8 - For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, The year of recompense for the cause of Zion. It is over a 1 year duration. Likewise, in the Sabbatical year leading up to the Jubilee, it straddles from Feast of Trumpets to the following year's Yom Kippur - a period of 1 year 10 days ( following Noah's Ark judgment template).
