Sonos ROAM 2 vs. the BEST Bluetooth Speakers of 2024

Sonos has finally updated the Roam bluetooth speaker. Plagued by many technical issues the first Roam was not the sucess it should have been. Now Sonos is back with an improved (slightly) version 2. What have they gotten right and how does it stack up against my favorite picks?

I opened your video because I have a Roam 1, and stopped using it a while ago. It was always giving me phantom issues, which made it too tedious to deal with so it never got used. Your video clearly explained everything I’m experiencing, thank you for taking the time to make this video. I’m glad it wasn’t just an issue with my specific speaker.

I really wish Sonos would’ve added a passive radiator, another tweeter, or driver improvement or SOMETHING to the roam 2 to compete with the Bose sound link flex. They really dropped the ball this year with the roam 2 and Ace

Great video! I want to get a nice pretty high sound quality but still somewhat portable speaker so was looking at Move 2, but do you think it’s worth the price compared to other comparable cheaper speakers like UE epic boom, JBL, etc?

Hey, friend! First of all, excellent delivery. I have a question: I've been on the lookout for a portable BT speaker that can deliver 1) clear vocals for audiobooks and 2) rich and balanced sound for occasional psychedelic trips outdoors. My issue with the Bose speakers is that they're all outdated one way or another. I mean Flex is intriguing but I can't see myself committing to a speaker with Bluetooth 4.2 in 2024. I'm quite impressed with Sony XB100 for its combination of size, design and price, but I'm not entirely sure about quality. I'm ready to go as high as the Flip 6 class, but I prioritize decent sound and portability over excellent sound but less portable. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated! (apols for the explanation)

Unfortunately, I will never buy another room product again. The number of issues that played the Rome really burned me on that product line from Sonos and I just have no interest in delving back in, even if those issues have been resolved in the roam 2

I think the Bose flex, Marshall's Emberton and Sonos roam 2 are all highly over rated and just meh...I ended up selling all of mine because I always found myself going to the soundcore motion 500 the spatial audio it's just a richer fuller listening experience on a daily basis.
