I used to put the fluid back in the bottle after the test, but the fluid in the bottle initially changed color to green and now to yellow. Now I have to buy a new one!

Can results be biaised ? I ran the CO2 test, staying blue, then did a full flush and then it changed colour, not full green but between blue and green. If the cleaner stayed in the cooling system, can it biaised the results ? No other symptoms from the car.

It's a Rover fitted with a K series, of course the head gasket has failed. Probably came out of the factory like that.

and you dont put fluid in down part of the tester? only in upper?

When I do it, the pump barely works, it takes 30-40secs to expand again...still, what happens is that test-liquid from the top chamber is sucked into the lower chamber!
