it's a local election, the leader isn't decided yet by the party, it was won on promises over very particular local issues and local freebie promises; it has nothing to do with Gandhi as the title misleading suggests; Gandhi isn't the reason for this victory, people know that neither Modi nor Gandhi will be operating in Karnataka, it is the local leaders that will be acting there and so that's what they voted for; it means nothing for the national election

It was shocking to see even after PM Modi campaigned for weeks along with the Home Minister and other Ministers their political party BJP was beaten so badly!
