Jada Pinkett Smith and Son Jaden Discuss Psychedelic Drug Use on Red Table Talk

Jaden Smith joined his mom, Jada Pinkett Smith, and grandmother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, on their Facebook Watch series, ‘Red Table Talk,’ and opened up about the benefits he claims to have experienced after using mushrooms.

Mushrooms helped me in the most vulnerable time of my life. I did it once, and never again- and I don’t feel the need either. I was an anxious mess about my career and future- Mushrooms made me feel that my anxiety and issues were so much smaller than I made them in my head. It helped me a lot. I’m not saying it’ll work for everyone, but it helped me immensely

So let me this straight. Jada’s Mom, who I adore, had a raging drug habit for years and was so strung out, that Jada’s grandmother and the streets raised Jada. Jada freely admits that she did ecstasy and now shrooms because she had a deep depression that Zoloft wasn’t helping her to fix her issues. And Jaden, who has obvious battled depression is now speaking about his psychedelic experience using illegal drugs to find himself.

Look, I’m calling foul here and I wish more people would wake up to the way these broken mentally unwell celebrities and their families are marketed to us. They are not educated, their wealth didn’t shield them for the dark sides of life and in fact, it seems to have opened them up to even more darkness and pressure. Yet, somehow they have a show because we put these broken imperfect people on a pedestal that they don’t belong. The most grounded deep intelligent people in the world are not sitting on a show because the revolution will never be TELEVISED.

Listen, all this stuff is FACILITATORS and no matter what you still have to do the inner work on yourself to be happy and balanced. These mushrooms and other psychedelic drugs can cause paranoia and maniac episodes and I know people PERSONALLY that have used them and walked into traffic and jumped from a building. I don’t need a celebrity kid or his broken family trying to sell me anything because it is clear to me that they still have quite a few issues in themselves that they need to heal. Get off the pedestal and stop worshipping the image in the mirror. Humble yourself, you are not that great. I am very disappointed in this episode!!

After listening to what she said on E, she should’ve never gotten married, she seems like she’s forcing this “family unit” with Will, maybe it was wills dream to extend the family but not hers… maybe she has issues with sexuality, she just needs to live her life, I can’t imagine feeling strangled and for her to say she was depressed frustrated me, she’s just confused, people love throwing out the D word yet don’t even know the depth of what real depression is
