Hello I'm tomosteen.
My cooking steps in this video are
First, cook the rice.
Then bake the salmon.
Then we cook the eggs in the Japanese way.
When I finished making the miso soup, the salmon was cooked just right.

This video is a stop motion animation created using many photos.
I don't actually cook Legos.
Please do not imitate this video at home.

I love how they go the extra mile to animate jiggles and fluidity..even tiny details like like...steam/water overflowing, oil dripping and sizzling, the slight wibbly texture of tamagoyaki...it's so good??
It really draws you in with the immersion. I also really like how they match the sound effects to what the food is supposed to be
. Nothing takes me out of the immersion like people emphasising on the lego clinking sounds. And the liquid physics...I'm so impressed.

I love how he carefully removes the egg "shell". Attention to details!

Can we just appreciate how long it must take to make this?

I think one touch that makes these videos great is he does not just do the stop motion prep/cooking/etc. Its the random animal movements in each video :)

Japanese: Spend and hour and a half making breakfast for one and still make it to work/school early
Americans: Gives PopTart to siblings and eats on the way, still comes in late

I've seen a lot of "lego stopmotion cooking" vids but this one is one of the most high quality, getting things like the fluidity of pouring liquids, adding details like the dripping on the fish when it's cooking and burning up, and even when the eggs are being cooked how the edge is properly curved when he flips and shapes it. The attention to detail here is incredible. Not just "on the bandwagon" a true stop motion artist!

I’ll never get my head around how it looks so realistic. It’s messing with my hunger

the attention to detail is just amazing.
The tiny wobble of the egg white, and the rounded surface of the omelette. So much work, but they never shy away from it

As a Japanese person, I can confirm this is 100% accurate.
The only thing I would change is make the egg roll have little white bits in it, like all homemade Japanese egg rolls have.

I don’t understand how this was accomplished, but it is incredible. I also appreciate the simple beauty and calming effect of this video accomplished through its animation and quaint subject matter.

"Hello and welcome to Lego Land, what are you looking for today?"
"Hi, yes, I'd like every beige Lego you've got."

We think he’s making really high effort videos, but in reality he’s been cursed so that everything he touches turns to lego, and this is his way of asking for help.

Guys, it was a joke chill out

These videos are phenomenal. I love the little touches, like a few green onion slices being left behind when scooping up, the soy sauce changing only some of the grated daikon, the bubbling liquid gathering and dripping off the salmon and creating steam. So amazing.

May I just take a moment and say how cute it is how he just pulled a part of a egg out of the yolk

This is SUPER SATISFYING! Those little details like when you pick out that one tiny piece of egg shell from the bowl. And for some reason Lego food looks more delicious than real food 😋

Edit: holy crap why is this comment famous

It does make sense why it’s called breakfast...

*Because you’re breaking up legos really fast*
