Did You Know This About Daniel Radcliffe in HARRY POTTER…

Daniel Radcliffe attempted to read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when he was eight years old, but he didn't find it captivating like the millions of other readers his age. He set the book down and didn't finish. But, when he got the part and began filming, he was reading the fourth book. He was quoted as saying he would jump around the hotel room before filming and pretend to be Harry, acting out parts from the novel which he would end up filming six years later.

This channel is inspired by Harry Potter Theory. I grew up loving Harry Potter and always wanted to come up with my own theories and ideas about the lore and world-building of the series. I hope you enjoy this theory video, and subscribe if you want to see more!

Funny thing is I'm kind of similar - with the obvious exception of I didn't act in the films XDDD
But it's true that at first I read the Philosopher's Stone and didn't like it, then years later I picked it up again and just couldn't stop reading

remember feeling the same
then I lost the 3rd film and was like fuck it, where is the book?
then went and read the 1 and 2, then 4
good thing my dad liked it and bought all the books there were back then

His dad read harry potter to Daniel radcliffe because he wanted his dad to do a voice. If you look at his talk with jk Rowling he talks about his dad reading the books to him and about asking cris Columbus if his dad could do the voice of the basilisk.

I'm pretty much the different. I only began reading Hp this year and was immediately absorbed into it a minute in, and now currently reading the whole series (books 1-8) for the 5th time

I can understand that. Even I couldn't get into reading the first book till I saw the movie first. Then I was able to get through the book.

It wasn't till the third book I could read the book first and be excited about it.

I started reading Harry Potter in second grade, I only finished the series because I felt smart being able to read such big books. Second attempt a few years later I loved it.

Pretty much same. I read the 1st book when I was 9 yrs old, but left it half-way cuz it sounded boring. But then at 12, it somehow became the most interesting thing I have ever got to read lol

I was actually the same. When I first picked it up at 8 I didn’t get into the first book. I think it was a year before I tried again

I was 8 or 7 when I tried to read Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone because I somehow knew it was the first book. Didn’t even finish the first chapter because it was boring. I tried to read again when I was about 9 or 10because my friend liked it and enjoyed it. I still think the first few chapters are a bit boring but I have now read to deathly hallows, a history though magic, fantastic beasts and where to find them and some of quitich through the ages. I also tried to watch the movies.

When I was in like third or fourth grade, our technology teacher took the really smart kids (not to brag) and would teach them cool stuff on the computers and other things. She sat us down on the floor and we took turn reading the Sorcerer’s Stone (I’m a Yank) and I found it SO boring! Years later in eighth grade I was at a bookstore and decided to give the series a try. When I got home I started reading and was halfway done with the book by nighttime. Idk why it’s like that but it’s the same for me!

Not surprising, can be hard to keep an 8yr old's attention that long... Especially with so many unfamiliar words. After all, It's the reason they changed the name in the states

The books weren’t captivating for an avid reader like me either.
