As a huge language enthusiast I didn't find it funny, it diminishes the complexity and intricacies of Japanese. It has 2 syllabic alphabets that it combines with ideograms that themselves have multiple readings and meanings.
It's a wonderful language that even natives don't master fully.
Before telling me I'm boring yes I understand he's a comedian and he's doing his job, and well I must add, since people laughed. I just think it's too bad people laugh at this.
