As a former progressive and atheist for pretty much my entire life, I think the problem is that people on that side really think it's just hatred for gay people. They have never wrestled with the genuine arguments against homosexuality because you never hear it in the culture. All you hear is, "they are hateful" so if that's all you hear you're going to think it's true. You can be against homosexuality but also think that they should be respected as human beings. You don't have to hate somebody to disagree with their lifestyle. We have many sexual desires that society demands that you fight against, and not indulge them. No sex with kids, family, someone not your wife, your friends mother or sister, someone who is in a marriage even if you are single, animals. It doesn't matter if you have these strong desires and both people consent to the encounter, it is still wrong and society rightfully demands that you not give into those desires. Christians add homosexuality into that camp. There may be a strong desire, but it is a desire that you should not give into no matter how strong the desire is and no matter if there is consent between the parties. It is still wrong. It is disordered. And that's not a hateful position to hold. Stephen Woodford really proving GK Chesteron point that when you stop believing in God you will believe in anything. It's not rational to believe in God but it is rational to believe that a man become a woman just by thinking it lol.

I've never heard the term "Christphobic" until this guy said it. My Chrome spell check doesn't even recognize it. This is because Christians don't (or at least shouldn't) dismiss people who don't agree with them as being scared of them or bigoted towards them.

Stephen is a bigot himself. He's the product of an education system here in Britain which has completely removed Christanity from society.
He thinks he's an 'atheist' which is absurd because actual atheists have read a great deal of theology of many religions and have concluded that they believe there is no supernatural world.
His sneering condescending attitude is that of someone who is utterly ignorant of why people practice religions.

I would have a lot more respect for him if he could actually explain WHY he thinks Christianity is nonsense, rather than his offensive attitude.
