Thanks for documenting Larry. Although the 12 million yen can seem staggering…the quality and attention to detail is beyond crazy. Kudos to Yoshida-San

This R34 restoration is worth every single Yen. There's no way this could get done in the U.S. for the amount Larry paid in Japan. It's now a work of art, giving you life long enjoyment. Love it!

I'm an old-school hot rod guy, so I truly enjoy the history of cars. Now, not only does your car have the pedigree, but it has been raised to the highest level (in my opinion) of the art it was created with. It's so clean... literally and aesthetically. Congratulations. It's a thing of beauty.

The timeframe is the wild part. You don’t get that in the states. You get constant excuses and delays for hopefully average work. The quality of this restoration is extremely impressive.

To think Larry started out as a paparazzi photographer who loved cars now he has his dream car. He turned SpeedHunters into video content and we all get to enjoy it. THANK YOU SO MUCH Larry. We are so proud of what you accomplished as a photographer and you have inspired so many people like me.

Hearing Larry still humbly savor the moment after decades of hard work is what makes him the goat. This is how life should be.

4 Months is super quick to do that incredible amount of work to such a high level.

83k for this level of perfection is absolutely justified. Having highly specilized craftsmen work on your car is worth it in this price range.

I don't usually watch 45 minute videos on YouTube. Hagerty is always an exception.

Living in Japan as a car enthusiast is NOTHING like these videos make it out to be. It is sooo difficult and expensive to own and enjoy an enthusiast car here. Parking, inspection, gasoline, insurance, highway tolls, speed cameras, pedestrians, traffic... it's really depressing.

Not the prettiest, not the fastest, no massive HP output, the tech is a bit outdated but every JDM enthusiast (such as me) would love to have an R34 GTR. You the man Mr Chen, you have achieved what most of us can only dream of. Thanks for sharing these videos. 👍

Congrats Larry!
83k is a bargain for what you got…not to mention the pedigree of a Yoshida restoration ….like Randy Ema is to Duesenberg😎

Congratulations to you Larry and a big thank you to Mr Yoshida, his wife and all the team involved in creating such a work of art.

This is exceptional work ethic to completely restore a 25-year-old car in 4 months is insane. Love it

This level of workmanship is unmatched! We need more shops offering these types of services for the JDM car culture.

You are right in saying that this is special. It's odd that a car restoration can make you feel emotion, this is really beautiful. Thankyou for honoring this icon.

There really aren’t many people who deserve this more than you do.

The stories you have shared from all around the world mean so much to this community that it makes me so happy to finally see you get to share your own dream car story.

The fact you can still see some skyline at the other Tatsumi is cool. So glad you included the footage of cruising with Dustin. That E92 was sick.

You finally went all the way with a gtr, what a dream refresh. Nicely done Larry, what an amazing place Garage Yoshida has become. You have the king of the jungle as far as street cars go, enjoy and revel in it, soak it up for all of us that cannot, roll in it, smear it all over and drive it forever.

12 mil. Thats some coin. i teared to know he has the capabilities to finance the reinforced strut tower panels and redip the whole chassis. This is "doing things right". Loads of people claim their cars are stripped down and "rebuilt" from the ground up but all thats done is just de-rusted with fresh paint while the chassis is clamped on a dolly.

as brief as it was, its really heartwarming to see this level of artisan workmanship. Thank you for sharing.
