Columbus, Ohio is the capital city of the state and the largest city in Ohio. Here are some fun facts about Columbus:

Columbus is known as "The Arch City" due to the unique architecture of its buildings and bridges, many of which feature arches.

The city was named after Christopher Columbus and was established in 1812. It was chosen as the state capital in 1816.

Columbus is home to The Ohio State University, one of the largest and most prestigious universities in the United States. The university's football team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, has a passionate following and plays home games at Ohio Stadium, also known as "The Horseshoe."

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, located in the suburb of Dublin, is consistently ranked as one of the best zoos in the nation. It is known for its diverse animal exhibits, conservation efforts.
