Welcome Ballo Forest MTB Trails. This has to be one of Scotland's hidden gems when it comes to Scottish Mountain Biking.

Ballo Forest is situated in Coupar Angus and is an easy enough reach for anyone living in the central belt. I first heard about Ballo on Youtube after Wideopenmag put out a video of the trails.

Ballo MTB trails are really engaging. Kind of like Thornielee but with more flow. I really do think a trip to Ballo should be on the list of every UK mountain biker.

This mountain biking MTB / enduro POV video was shot on Saturday the 5th September at Ballo Forest. The video was shot on a GoPro Hero 7 mounted on the chin of a Fox Proframe helmet using a Gnartec mount.

All video editing is completed using Filmora Wondershare 9.5.

I find it unbelievable that some one gave this video a thumbs down. An absolutely TOP video from a wonderful enthusiast of downhill mountain biking. Unfortunately, due to injury and age, I am now restricted to x-country and sensible descents but videos like this really LIFT ME and remind me of what I used to do without fear... AWESOME VIDEO.

We did Ballo last week in the damp & mud. It still rides so well. Cracking variety of trails. Standout for me was your 2nd last trail "Spicy bits".
Pitlochry & Cathros is good but Ballo & Yair are the best destinations this year.

Class mate. This has been our stomping ground for years and it’s amazing to see how much it’s come on over time. You are right though, there is a tipping point with this place when it gets either too wet or too dry where those off camber roots will do their best to catch you out. See you guys up there sometime if you go back.

Great riding mate, those trails look unreal! Also good work on keeping it entertaining the whole way through, can be hard with longer videos but this was a pleasure to watch 👍

Geez, if you think Ballo is that good then I'll have to give it a go 👍. Might try and do this when back in Scotland later this year either going to/coming back from a social visit. Also saw some trails at Perth (Kinnoul & Deuchny) used for the Fair City Enduro. Have you ever done those? Could also be good getting those in on the same trip.
