Hello, Christian. I start the SWE program this coming July 1st and I just stumbled upon your channel. Thanks for the insight on this and your other videos.

Also, a very good point of looking at job listings to see what requirements are out there for what one might want to do. I have kind of done the same and have noticed that most of the companies I'd want to go into use Java so I'll more than likely lean that way.

I'm currently working as a developer, and I am very interested in getting my bachelors from wgu. I been a developer for 10 months my only education is high school and a coding bootcamp, I'm really interested on getting my bachelors through WGU. I would definitely choose C# since that is the language we use at work. I think it would give me better understanding of it and a the same time would make it a bit easier since I will not have to worry about learning new syntax.

I'm currently in the updated SWE program and I went with Java. I came into the program with no coding experience, what would you recommend for getting better with coding in Java.

For Java in your personal opinion which is the best IDE or text editor? Visual Studio is a pain to get Java to run I think you have to download a JDK which is a pain to do. I think there is IntelliJ which is in some way better than Eclipse. Any recommendations? Thanks Christian.

I’m torn on which I should go for, I want to do web dev mainly, and don’t have a company in mind. I already know C# from a previous university, they used it there. But I’m not aiming to only do windows. Also I know the jvm is a big thing to know due to Kotlin as well, and I rather like the Kotlin language. Idk.

Well with the current job market it'll be a while before you get a job with either one haha
