Here is the advice from the professional traders in a list:

1. Think about trading in percentage terms, not just the dollar amount. Even small percentages can add up.

2. Treat trading like a game - for you to make money, someone else has to lose money. As a beginner, you can't expect to be better than experienced traders.

3. Trade during the most volatile times of the day - the open and close of the market.

4. Don't go for huge 100x plays, focus on slow and steady consistent gains.

5. Find one thing that has a high probability of happening and trade around that with a step-by-step plan.

6. Understand that the market will magnify your psychological traits, whether it's impulsiveness or OCD.

7. Do all your preparation before entering a trade, so you just have to follow your plan.

8. Don't react to news, as it's already baked into the price charts.

9. Learn about investing by going inside businesses to understand how they work, even bad businesses.

10. Use your advantage of patience and only take trades that fit your standards, don't swing at every pitch.

That Warren Buffet was the best one. Kind of like surfing analogy. The ocean doesn’t know that you are there, you just have to wait for the perfect wave and then ride it out.

It's sad that videos like this don't get the love and attention "How I made 1000% trading zero DTE options contracts" gets. It's probably the hardest part about being an educator. The people that need this advice are the ones that generally flock to the wrong content.

The S & P 500 grows at about 10% on average per year (don't know the exact number). If I earn 9% and someone else earns 11% - they didn't take money from me, they just LIMITED my gain.

In other words, the market in general GROWS and GOES UP. It is NOT a zero-sum game. It is possible for someone to be BETTER than me and we can BOTH still make money.

The real question is, can I beat the S & P 500? If not, then I should just put my money in some index fund and call it a day. That is what is hard to do and that is what everyone is really competing against. They all want to "beat the market". And it is there that one needs to be humble -- because it is very easy to UNDERPERFORM the market.

But there is a big difference between underperforming and losing money. Of course, it is ALSO possible to lose money in the market. That's for sure. But that does not change the fact that overall the market goes up and overall people MAKE MONEY in the market. It's just a question of how much do they make.
