I am finally going to make the typical youtube joke :
"When you've beat the campaign but forgot to do the first side mission"

There is also a stand alone version. I found it useful to save a stand alone version of Blender 2.79 before the major transition where some plug ins I use broke.

Alternatively if you have Steam, you can download Blender on that and it will automatically update whenever a new version is out. So you don't have to continuously check the website and re-download the install ini.
Plus it's nice being able to see how many hours you have on it, and if you use Discord it'll appear that your currently busy in it for if you have lecturers on your friends-list who can see when you're working or not xD

Other management methods I'd include:
using the zipped archive so you don't need to install Blender is probably a good idea as well.
drag and drop/overwrite to upgrade your installed instance of Blender.

I use the zipped versions (1.8, yes I said 1.8, 2.79, 2.82, 2.83.0 LTS, and two daily builds of 2.90 alpha) so I can switch between them when I'm helping out in the Discord channel.
That reminds me, I should grab 2.83.1 LTS. There's been a bunch of bug fixes.

To be honest, i've never seen the worth of uploading a "how to install" video with software like Blender, it's so straightforward it's almost pointless, buy hey it's a Grant Abbit video, so i had to watch it anyway :D

If I have a previous version of Blender that I've already been using, with your tutorials for example, do I just download and install the newer version and then go in and delete the older version manually? Or does the new version install over the old version? Or is there an Update Blender option in the version I currently have? Will the tutorials I've already been working on just open in the new version if I click the saved blender file? Or do I need to do something special to get them working in the newer version of Blender? Do I need to worry about how and where I'm saving my projects and their associated files based on the way I'm expected to update to the latest version of Blender every now and then? You get the idea....
