This isn't the normal RX 580, it's the cut down China only one which has decent performance differences (Believe it's the 2048SP version, which is similar in performance to an rx 570 or worse). The 580 is pretty old now but can still play a lot of modern games, definitely not a good value though.

This GPU is actually the rx580 2048SP, the lower spec model of the 580, so glad that I'm not the only one that made this mistake lol.

Uh-oh googles terrible search strikes again - yes top result for rx580 drivers lists "Previous drivers" for some reason, but 24.3.1 came out in March - 24.7.1 was released in July but for some reason it's hidden on AMDs website, So yes it still gets updates but theyve split Polaris+Vega drivers away for bugfixes rather than new features

I personally wouldn't call that an RX 580 (regardless of its name). Much like how nVidia has made several cards under the same name but have wildly different performance characteristics or even a different die all together. The RX 580 in this video is the RX 580 2048SP which is the cut down version and performs more akin to an RX 570...

That GPU is BS not RX 580. Had high on Doom Eternal in about 90 fps on Vulkan ... So it is not RX 580.

Hey guys, i think there is something worth mentioning. That GPU is an RX 580 2048SP (at least the one showed in amazon). This means that it has 256 less stream processors than a normal 580, making it almost an RX 570 with like a 40mhz higher boost clock. Either way it's still a chinese p.o.s (and buying a used one would make more sense), but that could explain worse performance than what you expected.

Tbf, Alan Wake 2 is ridiculously heavy even on recent HW, using a GPU this old on that game is just unfair. 😅
