I had a friend travelling on a train in the evening. He came across a girl being slapped, beaten really, by some guy. He intervened. When the cops turned up, it emerged that she was the guys boyfriend. She said my friend attacked her - and was 'bruised' to prove it. The boyfriend backed her up. My friend was arrested and charged and spent 2 days in jail. The advice to any man is now to walk on past. Not your problem.

Had a friend go to prison for five and half years due to a false allegation. His face was all over the front of the local paper and labelled a rapist.
After he hanged himself, his ex admitted he shouldn't have gone to prison and it was all her fault.
She later killed herself as well, leaving two young girls as orphans; although she and her girlfriend had been sexually abusing the daughters and suffered no criminal action (but did get a victims of crime pay out).
That's the British justice system at work.

Biggest impact I've seen of MeToo has been the devastation false accusers wreak in the lives of men. Happened to a friend and he's never been the same, lost his job, lost his friends, complete change in his personality - eventually the woman comes clean and says she took things too far. But the damage is done, and she faced no repercussions.

I'm happy that the world way be safer for women, but women are not above lying and manipulating in order to hurt someone. False accusers should face charges.

At a social gathering a few months ago, a friend of mine was sexually harassed by a woman he knows, draping herself around him like an octopus and practically begging him to go off with her (not that he would have done). I came to his rescue by casually asking him what time his other half was coming to pick him up (which she was). The woman let him go, turned to me and said, "Oh, that's nasty!" I didn't dignify it with a response, but I pointed out to him later that he had been sexually harassed, and he said, "Oh, it wasn't harassment..." I reminded him that had the roles been reversed, he would probably be in a police cell now. I have never seen a man behave like that.

The problem is that women will make false accusations and destroy men's lives. And false accusers have zero consequences. That is the problem.

I remember when this all started coming out like crazy and my gf at the time (ex now, thank god) would always buy right in and start shit talking the accused man as if already guilty. I chimed in one day about that being premature and she said "oh so how do you know he didn't do it?" I replied "How do YOU know he did?" And that was a turning point for us. Right then and there I knew we were on divergent paths. I am unbiased and logical to a fault. She is feeling overs facts. It's so toxic. How is "believe all women" any different than saying "all men are guilty until proven innocent." It's blatantly sexist and misandrist, separating an entire class of people to receive unfair treatment- and this from the side that claims to be all inclusive. I guess if you're a straight male you don't get to be included though.

I remember being in 7th grade and there was a game called the nervous game. A girl named Ashley said do you want to play? I said no, she said come on, lets play, you scared? I put my hand on her leg and said are you scared, she said no, so I put my hand higher on thigh, she said im not nervous, we kept going. I really didnt want to play, but felt lame if i didnt. A teacher saw this, called Ashley over and said she needs to report me for this. Ashley said no, we were just joking around. The teacher said, no you need to report this, you cant let him do this. She said we are just playing around. The teacher then disregarded Ashley and sent me to inschool suspension saying i was being inappropriate. It was a frusteratimg but eye opening situation. Teacher was female

I was raised by a single mom who treated me like I would be a abuser. Then i went to college during the me to stuff, where they lectured the men on how unwanted approaching was wrong and potentially could get you kicked out. Now I'm in my late 20s... I've never approached a girl. I'm convinced now that that's what women actually want, but honestly, it feels too late to learn.

Since the MeToo movement, my respect for women has plummeted.
Every single woman I know bought into it to some degree, and not one of them thought about it properly

I had a girl a few years back threaten to ruin my life. As many times as she stayed the night at my house, she must have forgot I have a security camera on my front porch. The whole interaction was caught on video/audio. I immediately downloaded it-saved it and sent it to my sister who also saved it. My trust in women was low before that…it is virtually 0 now.

I’ve been falsely accused and I’ve seen 4 men falsely accused and allowed to return to work after accusations proved false. The women suffered no punishment, in fact they got to choose their hours.

A friend of mine got falsely accused by a coworker of his. He was arrested and charged. A year later the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence and the fact she had done this to another guy she worked with at the same company and got a payout from them. Then to complete the sh*t storm, he had to go through more court time and costs to get the arrest removed from his record.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s the rules seemed pretty clear. You politely approached women in bars, when you were politely rejected (usually the case) you politely backed off.
There were men who didn't follow those rules. The vast majority did and we didn't like those that didn't.

I was once entering a shop and someone was behind me, so I held the door open for them. It turned out to be a woman, and she started screaming at me for being patronising. The thing is, I would have done exactly the same it it had been a man. It's simply common courtesy not to let the door slam in someone's face.

The perceived Asymmetry between men and women has been forcefully removed.
The actual Asymmetry remains, but we're living in dangerous denial of it.

This clip is a breath of fresh air. Two people saying the things we know to be true but are too afraid to say.

When I got to college and I was invited to a party, I found this guy who became my “safety gage”—he didn’t know this but I’d judge if I was safe whenever he was in the room. He was quiet, confident and very kind. Whenever he’d leave a party, I’d leave. (Separately). 15 years later that man is my husband and I’ve always been treated with kindness, respect and honor. Women, choose wisely.

My first girlfriend took me to court on false charges after cheating on me with a guy and a girl. That was a lesson

I thought MeToo was a good idea but when women started saying “you have to believe her” I knew it would be a disaster. Men lie and women lie
