I was at this concert with yuja Wang and Alan Gilbert at the Elbphilharmonie last year. It was mindblowing. It was my first visit at the Elbphilharmonie as well . I was sitting in the 4th row quite near to the picture position. It was my last philharmonic concert I visited. :( I miss this a lot.

I've read in an interview, that Mr. Schosta is one of Ms. Wang's favourite composer. That's for sure, awesome performance, both soloist and orchestra.

What an absolute treat. I think this piece is so much fun that it may not be appreciated for the gem that it is, comparable to Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony. It was written as a “student piece” for the composer’s young son Maxim; the exercises in the finale (I forget if they are Hanon or Czerny) are part of the “student” humor. Right up ms. Wang’s alley — I haven’t heard or seen her when she didn’t appear to be having a good time. Many thanks.

No video... What a pity! Miss Wang's play is so amazing.

No one plays this wonderful piece better than Yuja, not even Shostakovich. Interesting that her playing time is about 17.48 minutes. Shostakovich comes in at 17.27. Bernstein at 19.49. Some play at as slow as 24. For me Yuja is spot on, keeping the clarity but dancing with delight. Oh for a video!

The andante can be played much slower but it is so incredibly beautifull that takes the heart and makes it flying very very high as well as her magic touch.

I.Allegro and III.Alegro are exellent, but II.Andante is to fast and dinamic.
