Bird Poop Joseki? Walling Off Like a Pro

We go over a useful walling off technique for the middle-game, a useful joseki pattern for building influence especially in attacking and moyo-building scenarios.
Fly over their territory and poop on their heads! (lol)

QUESTION 1:
Have you seen this technique before? Does this video cover enough about it for you?

QUESTION 2:
Did you know about the moves on the second line to remove all the eye space from a surrounded 3rd-line group (B9/B10 at 0:00?)

QUESTION 3:
Are you surprised by the move values mentioned starting at 12:40? Do you want some move values videos?

Really high quality lesson, thank you! Regarding question 3 personally I would love to see a video dedicated to this topic, maybe more focused on yose. Again, thanks so much

Amazing lesson as per usual! Re Q1 & Q2: yes, but I didn't have a good idea of when to play them, what the trade offs were, or how to resist them well as the opponent. This video put the moves in much more context, including how this joseki can "prepare" future aspirations around the board. Re Q3: yes, I seem to be continually surprised by how "big" seemingly small moves are. I'm curious about how these compare to other "big" moves in the opening and such to evaluate the timing of when to play these. My main framework for middle-game timing is based on weak or strong groups, not point value, so this is very helpful.

This is super useful, I've been trying to wall off like this but I always struggled with the follow-up, so this clarifies a lot !! I'd love yose videos, I've got a book on endgame but it's too complicated ;)

1) I have seen this technique before. This seemed like the right amount of refresher on it.

2) The eye scooping move against this shape is a little less familiar to me. I am sure that there are variations/ nuances of it that would be helpful to study.

3) I am trying to make sense of the move value descriptions here with other estimation techniques that I have learned. Perhaps hazy endgame understandings are balanced by the philosophy that endgame is what happens when you fail to kill your opponent in the middlegame.
