For Me, This Was a Gulf War Song. We were launching F/A-18’s off of USS SARATOGA (CV-60) to KISS ME DEADLY playing over our intercom throughout our Aircraft Carrier on Jan 17, 1991. Not sure Lita knows this, but she was a Gulf War Anthem, right up there with Whitney Houston and her Star Bangled Banner at the Super Bowl. It was songs like Lita’s and Whitney’s that made us go kick Ass and win a War, and very few people realize that. Kiss Me Deadly was one of our Sound Tracks.
