I’m 62. You guys will survive this! Every birthday, I reassess things & tweak my eating. Some foods have to go bye bye

48 years old and haven't been in this good shape since my twenties, thanks to intermittent fasting and exercise.

I'm 37 and I've lost 50kg last year. Yes, it is easy for me to gain weight. I was being careless and within no time I gained 10kg. My testosterone increased 3 times during my weight loss. And now, when I want to lose weight, it's about 300 grams a day.

45 yo and started dieting over a year ago. Lost nothing for 3 months! Then started loosing 1 lb per week for a couple months. At about the 5 month mark something clicked and started loosing 4 lbs a week. Now I’m down 80lbs and am about 15% body fat per calipers. Counting calories and intermittent fasting is what works for me. If your older, just stick with it. Weight loss will eventually happen if your patient!

I manage to loose about 80lbs in about 12 months. It was hard. But i had self control and was consistent with diet and gym. I was 31 when i started.

I'm so glad I stopped snacking early. I'm in my 30's now and I lost a lot of belly fat thanks to IF.

Third
The inability to process foods later in life is spot on. I’ve had weight gain and headaches.

the biggest change after 30 was mental for me, i got so depressed because i kept thinking i'm too old now to do anything and it's 'too late' so i gave up on a lot of things lol

They just released a very large study that shows your metabolic rate does not greatly slow down as we age until we get above 60. Over 6000 people in the study from newborns to 95 years of age.

After 30? I never heard of this from anyone, nor experienced it. I had no trouble losing, until menopause. Something's greatly changed for people to have trouble after 30. That's too young.

I've been a huge TD fan for years but now that I've taken the last couple of years to study nutritional biochemistry, and specifically, the part I'm on is mitochondrial health and ATP. It's amazing to actually understand things like NAD and electron chain transport and blah blah and what it does. So fascinating.

I lost nearly 50 lbs so far on keto and I’m 39 turning 40 in October. It wasn’t hard. I’ve tried to lose weight various ways for the past 10 years and keto has been the only thing that’s finally worked and been sustainable. Before I was doing keto, I was incorrectly doing IF eating 2 meals a day and slowly gaining weight. Got no results until I eliminated sugar and avoided carbs. I’m a different person both mentally and physically.

I'm 71 years old. Started Keto lifestyle March 2020 at 225 pounds. I'm now 153 pounds. I'm hoping to finally slide that 50 pound weight to the left on the scale this month. I've been doing OMAD and sprinkling in 48 hour fasts monthly. I also gave up alcohol this past July. 56 days sober.
