Geely Coolray After 6 Months: Not My Favorite Anymore

Hi,

This is my last video about our Geely Coolray Sport that we acquired 6 months ago. Here I talk about the updates on the car and how it grew on me since the last video about first impressions. Overall, I have no regrets in getting the Coolray.

But there's another car that I fell in love with and I wish I got that one instead.

Finally found the strength and energy to write the English sub.

Human nature. After getting what you want, you’re off again wanting another. Vanity, vanity. Everything is chasing after the wind.

So far, this video/review lang ang hindi marketing/hype material ang dating. This is a good, balanced and down-to-earth sharing of experience from a consumer who actually used the product. BTW, I am NOT a Geely fan boy (uses a Toyota), I am just commenting on Daniel's video.

Thanks for the comprehensive review. I’m a Gen X but I appreciate the features of Geely after my showroom visit so I’m thinking of buying one.

Thank you for the highly informative 6-month post-sale review . Clear and concise on important criteria in car selection. This clip will surely help those planning to purchase the Geely Coolray, and those who are choosing best cross-over car to buy.

To be honest, a 6-month timeline should be nothing for a car especially for a brand new one. Issues began for cars after 5 years or 80t km at least for general thumb. If it has some major mechanical issues after just 2 years (like the transmission of Ford pickups), that's the time you'll know it can't be trusted. Anyway, I like Geely for its features over value but if I'm going to buy and invest in another car, I have to make sure I have sufficient research about it otherwise it's all for naught. I'll wait for your 2-year and 5-year reviews, assuming that car survives by then.

Mas concern ko is yung tibay ng sasakyan overall at after sale service. Also am not into automation too much. The more analog is better for me. Apart from that am happy for Chinese brand cars to be coming over already. Overpriced na talaga Japanese or Korean cars.We need these cars to come and be successful and provide more choices to the people

In Malaysia this is called proton x50, they have a larger sibling called an x70. Problem i have with this company many issues and always sc claim no parts. Some items like the gearbox and radiator fan are common failure points for thr x70 yet they try to shrug off responsibility not to mention non responsive head units.

I hope this company respects its consumers more though yes it has lot of features but reliability and warranty is lacking.

Thanks, I'm still set on buying the GCR Sport in a few months, right after paying off my current ride.

Will this be your last video? Why are you planning to sell or swap it? If you're still going to keep it, please continue uploading videos about your experiences with this car, whether good or bad. It will help people who are considering buying it make an informed decision. I'm actually thinking of swapping my Emgrand for this, but I'm still reviewing the pros and cons of the Coolray compared to the Emgrand. Nice video, brother.

Thanks for the detailed review. I'm planning to get this car. With no vents at the back I'll probably get a USB portable fan to help blow cool air from front to back

If you install the Ultra racing bars, stage 1 is enough to make the car's ride firmer and less bouncy. And you'll have more confidence in the corners too

The more people say "parts availability is my top priority", the more it convinces me that popular brands break the easiest.

Depends on preference i would like a reliable engine that could run and run and run and reliable UpTo 400k or more. Rather than tech aesthetics. Toyota and honda engines are good and fit the criteria very well.
