The best example of OSINT is when 4chan tracked down a He Will Not Divide Us flag using the stars, aircraft flight paths and the sound of frogs.

I pride myself on being able to use these techniques to figure out AirBnB addresses when the owners make them hidden to the public.

4chan's Syria War thread regular passed a lot of such information to different Russian twitter accounts, and some of it led to air strikes.
Outsourcing military intelligence is pretty legit, and a few thousand amateurs full of passion will outperform a dozen jaded salarymen when it comes to such creative work.

Sign me up. One of my favorite pastimes is taking high-resolution photos and trying to figure out where the Photographer was standing based on the geographical features and information that you can glean from the articles that the pictures are attached to.

Interesting topic, nice how you can use the vast amount of information in the internet to find such things.
I also like the database and scenario editor of CMANO to simulate certain operations or look up speeds, ranges, jamming capabilities etc.
