Do NOT Invest in These 5 LEGO Star Wars Minifigures!

These are 5 of the Worst LEGO Star Wars Minifigures to Invest in during 2023. In this video I go over why I believe these 5 LEGO Star Wars Minifigures will make for some of the Worst LEGO investments of 2023. A few of these Minifigures, such as Bo-Katan Kryze, set 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter, 212th Attack Battalion Clone troopers, set 75337 AT-TE Walker, could be solid LEGO minifigure investments over the long term. However, due to the recent news of both these Minfigiures coming in foil packs, will in the short term, lower the prices of these Minifigures significantly. Since there will be a lot more supply added to the secondary LEGO markets and because they are no longer exclusive to the AT-TE, as well as the Mandalorian Starfighter.

-Tusken Raider, Set 75265 LEGO Star Wars T-16 Skyhopper vs Bantha Microfighters

I believe these 5 LEGO Star Wars minifigures will make for some terrible LEGO investments, especially in 2023 because of their lack of exclusivity. LEGO Star wars collectors pay really big money for exclusive star wars minifigures. However, all of the Star Wars minifigures on this list have or are going to be coming in more than one LEGO Set. So the very high supply and lack of exclusivity of these minfigures will effect the prices of these minfigiures, esspecially in the short term.

I'm glad that LEGO does this, at the end of the day this is a childs toy we're talking about. Yes they are highly collectable for adults too but if they're cheaper and more accessible to get in more sets, then both kids and collectors can get the characters they want easier. The only people this hurts is second market sellers who want to sell tiny plastic figures for ridiculous prices... And fuck those guys.

They’ll probably put the 212th in the next minifigure pack. 3 212th clones for $15.99 will definitely lower their price significantly.

wouldnt be surprised if gar saxon is going to come in 2023 or early 2024 since they’ve already done the mandalorian loyalist and bo katan is confirmed for february so its only a matter of time

For people who dont understand lego investing. Imagine a set where people buy to collect rather then resell. If someone buys with collection in mind they usually don’t have money into thinking about resell. Yes prices go up but they cap at certain prices. On the other hand LEGO “investors” bank on the fact that they can always make money on peoples hobbies. Best example I saw is the imperial transport pilot being sold at $12 after retirement for most people until someone bought all and set the price at $25. It happened on a bricklink a while back. The thing is too is that lots of common figs are going up in price too. Stormtroopers and clones are highly sought after and scummy people try and make money off ones passion.

01:03 Yep. Lego investors have a double blow because the Mandalorian loyalist figure from the Starfighter set 75316 has already been released in a foil pack. So it’s only Gar Saxon that is now exclusive to that set. However, rumour has it that Gar Saxon will also be appearing as a foil pack figure with the Lego SW magazine later this year. So the value of the Starfighter set should take a hit too.
