I attended some 'in person' talks by Maurice Gleeson at 'Who Do You Think You Are?' live. Very enjoyable & interesting.

Great news to hear of Martin McDowell’s eork in Northern Ireland. My 4th Greatgrandmother was a McDowell, so too far back for atDNA, and her immigrant greatgrandfather was even farther back. I don’t have any McDowells to ask to Y-DNA test. I have a Wilson cousin’s Big Y-700, if they are doing that in Northern Ireland.

Ancestry found me no one in Ireland; MyHeritage found me matches on my Irish/Welsh/Scots side.

Then I guess I should feel lucky that I've been able to find some of my Irish ancestors back into the 1700s and some even to the late 1600s.
