great explanation. it helped me a lot. i projected two circles onto a curved surface and try to thicken the surface between in between the circles. Obviously patching didn't work. extruding from the curved surface did work. many many thanks...

Dide, thank you for the extrusion trick, other videos where doing so many manipulations to get the same results! Thanks again!

Why does your UI look so damn clean? I love how simple it looks compared to what we get out of the box.

The trick is to create a sketch on the cylinder first otherwise you will get an error if you try to project to surface. Thank you for the awesome tutorial.

I hope I can get an answer on this, but every time I start a new sketch after I extruded a cylinder the sketch finishes in the middle of the object I just extruded. Is the only way to go about it by move the cylinder backwards/forwards?

What if the thing I don't want it to follow the curvature and angles of the cut surface? Like with the cylinder, what if I want to extrude a block out of it?

HI, excellent tutorial me a lot, I have found on the of my project it would not let me choose the surface on the round body to extrude why would that be?

Hi, can you help me please. I need to sketch on the curved side of a roll. I need to split the curved side to 6 equal parts. My goal is to design a dice roll. What is the best way to do this ? Thank you
