RENE, you just ended 25 years of intrigue...I was 15 years old when " IORI " became my favorite fighter of KOF.❤️‍🔥

There is a version of Iori Yagami in English in the game KOF maximum impact for PS2 and Xbox, Iori is the man dude, his fighting style is simply unique.

"sono mama shine" can also be translated to either "lay down and die" or "rest where you lie" depending on how you deliver it to the person. 😊

Greetings, Renê!! Many congratulations for this channel and I wish good luck in this endeavor! A little heads up: At least in US, what we in Brazil are used to call "Especiais" are usually called "Supers", and "Specials" mostly refers to the characters' special moves. For example: Ryu's Hadouken is a special and his Shinkuu Hadouken is a Super Special Move. My guess is that, at least in the beginning, the US fighting game community (FGC) was mostly based on Capcom Games and they ended up using terms from games like Street Fighter or Marvel vs Capcom in other franchises, like KOF or Guilty Gear. Have you ever noticed the icon with a letter that apperars below your life bar when you win a match in Marvel vs Capcom? If you finnish with a Hadouken, a icon with a "S" will be shown. And finnishing with a Shinku Hadouken, will be a "SS". Sorry if you already knew that and keep up the good work!

This is your most viewed video. That means you just discovered a niche subject: translating interactions of Anime and game characters from Japanese to English and possibly Portuguese, for the western geeks. Just subbed for that. Good luck to you!

basically the nutshell of Iori's in-battle voicelines is just him either BMing his opponent like a COD player or screaming death threats like an psychopathic edgelord.

Great video!! All these years I've been using some butchered Japanese with half gibberish words. Now I'll never forget these. He always sounds badass.
