I bought one of these and have to say this has been the most helpful review in terms of how to use the functions! Thank you

That said, it's a nice car, and I agree with one of the previous comments. It was an excellent video, really helpful.

Another quality review. This one looks like a winner, if service & support are up to scratch.

Sorry Tom it was remiss of me too not to compliment what you do here because I love your show every week i Tune In with you and Riz.
It was an excellent review, with lots of details like all your reviews are, loved all your efforts over in China of recent to, would have been amazing to see so many electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, anyway appreciate immensely what you do here it's a lot of work.
Best regards John

2025 Atto looks brilliant, wait for it.

No heat pump as standard, drum rear brakes, you need to pay for a V2L adapter, the ADAS system beeps and bongs way too much, needs a lot of re calibration, and its built on an ice vehicle platform. Sunroof is only available on the top grade

The Atto 3 represents better value for money.

The only thing this vehicle has going for it is the full size spare tyre, if this is a major concern for some buyers.

I had a test drive today seems like a really nice car. I didn't test the regen or lane assist a bit hard on a short test drive

The E5 looks better against the Atto3 while having Byd blade batteries.. its a good buy for its features while slightly behind the G6 and Zeekr X..

Hi Tom, great review. is it possible to knock it out of drive into reverse on the stick like you might go for the right stalk indicator by mistake. Also any news on ota updates and a app. I think I saw u.k. is getting an app or will it be like the GWM Ora where everyone gets an app apart from Australia. This one ticks alot of boxes. Cheers.

Yes I've had issues with the drive stalk, too (I'm in the UK). I think I'm in reverse but still in drive and vice versa.

Great to see button controls for brightness of the screen and a turn off button for the centre screen. So important in night driving! Is there a dark mode for the screens?

From your external walk around, some of those inconsistent panel gaps and shut lines are a concern.

Looks pretty decent and would really suit buyers in that price bracket. I recently took a #3 Brabus for a test drive on my latest trip back to Aus a couple of weeks ago. The Brabus mode is so ridiculous and pointless but I love it haha 😂 It could be a real licence killer if you aren’t careful, but so addictive. I think it has gone to the top of my list for driving dynamics and I really like the styling and interior. The only slight drawback is the range is a bit low, but more than manageable.

I would have loved to have that golf club to try in the boot, they only had an empty golf bag at the Merc dealership in Brisbane for me to try. It’s the driver that adds the length to it so it’s a good idea to have to demonstrate the size 🙂

Took one for a rest drive two weeks ago. It was the premium model. It drove well. Weird that if you are charging you can’t access the frunk (or you can if you’re very careful).

Tom I also had the car for a week and will have a review out shortly. While it had some strong points there were a few show-stoppers in there that you glossed over or didn't explore, for example the lane-keeping functions I felt was unusable (30 seconds on the M2 isn't enough to try it), the audio had no control whatsoever over tone or balance, when using Nav if the car thought you were over the limit it beeped incessantly at you, even with all speed-related alerts turned off. Steering feel and feedback was dull and lifeless, and many other gripes. Lots of things could be fixed with OTA, but the car didn't support OTA so it'll have to be back to dealer for the (essential) updates it needs. Lots of glitches in software design, the means of adjusting Regen totally impractical, screens hard to use for basic functions. Overall good value for money but would I buy one? Not a chance.

Nice to see a full size spare wheel in any new car.

How was the lane assist and the regen levels

Took one of these for a test a couple of weeks ago. Nice car. Chery don't supply any charger or cables. Was told you have to source your own.
