Thanks for sharing all this, its been really helpfull. I was wondering, I'd like to make fake rocks for in my fish pond. Now I'm worried that the cement will eventually release chemicals into the water and that it will be harmful to my fish. Does the hydroseal ensure that the cement becomes completely inert, so I can use them in my pond without any issues?

Looks great but I was wondering what can I do to make a rock to display a jeep flexing on it ?

Suggestion: FILL THE HOLLOW CORE with paper and it will support the wet cement mix. The expanded metal lath is all that's needed and is easily shaped to your liking. After it dries, the paper will easily pull out.

Instead of the bobby pins, I was wondering whether cable ties would also do the job?

I came to this video because I was thinking it would be cool to build cement dinosaurs for my garden and for my children to play (kind like super scaled down cabazon) and wanted to see how to make the initial frame. I imagine you could use this fake rock method to make big fake dinosaur eggs but it doesn’t seem sturdy enough for a climbable structure, any suggestions/videos on building something that can support weight?

Will this construction type stand up to people sitting or standing on?

Is it better with cement or mortar? I've seen people do it both ways but not sure which is better long term?

Hi.. I was in a box store buying rebar and saw pink fiberglass rebar. Have you used this for any of your projects? Any thoughts positive or negative would be appreciated. Thanks

What happens when the rebar and mesh rust?

Also do you have suggestions for attaching these to the ground so they don't blow away or is there weight sufficient?

Are those all faux rocks in the wall at the end? They look great! What process do you usually use if you don't always use the expanded metal sheath?

Great video. My wife and I made an address rock for the front of our property. Our next concrete project will be trying to replicate a antique carriage mounting block.
