I honestly have no idea why "educationional" videos and articles say that scoliosis doesn't cause pain. Literally everyone I've talked to with scoliosis agree : it hurts like a bitch. It's kind of insulting to deny heavy discomfort/chronic pain in scoliosis tbh

I have scoliosis, however it doesn't really affect me atm. It's not extremely noticeable if you look at me, and my back never really hurts. To you guys who have it worse, my best wishes to you all. 💗

I am suffering from it as an adult. When I was a kid my parents did not have the means for any type of treatment. My daughter’s spine is just fine, thank God, but I still monitor it.

I am 14 and was diagnosed of having an Thoracic Dextroscoliosis and im taking my Physical Therapy 2 times a month and not wearing a brace although my curvature is 30°. Thinking of having this is not funny, it making me depressed but I believe in God. I trust him. I know I can surpass anything through his name♥

I think my curve was around 27 degrees when the doctors found it, I was 9 years old at the time. My case was perfect for the brace treatment, they luckily found it early enough that I wouldn’t have to worry about surgery IF I wore the brace enough. Which I did, cause I was so terrified of a surgery XD

And yes, it was an annoying thing in the 3 years I spent wearing it, but I’m so incredibly glad I did. The discomfort (which I got used to within months) was worth powering through, I think my curve even shrunk a bit by the third year. 23 degrees or maybe even into the teens, I think. I’m 18 now and living very normally, and I just felt like sharing my experience for anyone else who may have this disease.

I have scoliosis and about 2 years ago when I was 10, I got an operation on my 72° curve. I'm so thankful for all the treatment I had received and I would've never gotten this far if I hadn't had the treatment. If anyone sees my comment then take a not about what I have to say: take all the treatment you can get and get an operation as soon as you can or it'll start causing pain.

I got diagnosed with scoliosis and degenerative disc disease when I was 15, now I’m 18 and have been getting chiropractic treatment for the last 3 years and I believe it’s helped.

I got diagnosed with scoliosis about 5 months ago, and tbh i hate it. It makes me inscure about my body because my waist is uneven and it affects the length of my legs it just overall lowers my self esteem, and my case isnt super horrible but from the time that i got diagnosed to today i have realized it more and more and it sucks because i just want to have a nice body without having to lean on one side of my body without even knowing that im leaning.

Ok, I just want to say something really quick . I have scoliosis 3 years now . I had a 50° degree curve . And I wear a brace thanks to my amazing doctor . So the thing that I wanted to say eventually is that a brace does help you minimize your curve . 🙏

A brace can actually fix your curvature. I've worn one for over a year now, (about a year and a half) originally with a 42 degree curve in my lower back (i forget the exact number, i just know it was 42-46), and it's improved by at least 10 degrees so far

Great video and understandable for kids when my daughter gets big enough I'll definitely show her this but I wish there was a a small showing the neck where my daughters c curve is.

I had scoliosis when i was 15 and had it corrected through chiropractic and schroth exercises, I later became a chiropractor and some soft active braces on the market can help improve the curve along with chiropractic and schroth techniques exercises. I'm living proof.

This is a nice, easy to understand video. Thank you for posting it for us to watch. I noticed that all of your graphics showing scoliosis are of females. This unfortunately gives the impression that only females are affected by this condition.I Googled scoliosis and learnt that it affects males too (even though it is much less common than in females).
