Audis New Cybertruck Competitor Shocks the Entire Car Industry!

Audi is known for creating some of the world's most popular luxury saloons, SUVs and crossovers, but not they are doing something truly shocking. The German company has released a new pickup truck to compete with the cybertruck, and it’s impressive. It has everything you would imagine, from an Audi saloon and an adventure vehicle utility. It looks like a cross between an Audi R8 and a Cybertruck, and we love it.

' the rear window is transparent' '

Imagine. A transparent window.

What a time to be alive. 😊

The styling of the car is pretty cool, however It is easy to come out with a concept car the hard part is putting it into production so this EV will never see the light of day.

If Audi f’s this up, I swear I will consider them the GM of German engineering from now on. Lol

The front grill is made of GLASS. Or for a few bucks more the trail version is made of cardboard.

That is just a concept and not a truck. Good styling, but Audis are still made by Volkswagen.

Did they just read this direct from Audi’s marketing material…?

I love this form factor. Most people that buy pickup trucks rarely need their high height and open truck bed. Back in the 60's and 70's, the Ford Ranchero and Chevy El Camino were coupe height useful vehicles. The EV platform and adjustable ride height suspensions today allow much more functionality in a four door. A four door liftback where the hatch slides up and forward to create an open pickup bed for large cartons or garden shrubs is very practical. That forward sliding hatch is new to me, something I had not considered but is genius. Having the rear fold down to extend the bed area while the rear seats fold down to create enough length and width for a stack of 4x8 sheets of plywood or drywall would be very useful. We are not at an all-EV world yet, so exhaust fumes would require that the cabin can be sealed off from the outside -- yes, I know some people drive convertibles and Jeeps but that wind, fumes, and road noise is not for me. The adjustable ride height also makes so much sense -- lower center of gravity for highway and higher for visibility and ground clearance during slow speed offroad and city maneuvering. If Audi or VW or anyone else built this at a reasonable price, I would buy it.

Please try to find an other verb than „shock“. Nearly every of your videos contains a headline that „shocks“ the industry. This realy sucks and trust me, in the automotive industry everyone knows what the others are doing. So need to be shocked - specially over any Audi.

This is just a prototype not a Cybertruck competitor. Your title is bogus.

I have nary a clue why YouTubers [ continue ] to posit Cybertruck’s [ alleged ] “ competition. “

Despite all the hoopla - [ none ] of these joints are bulletproof or bullet-resistant 👀.

This Audi "car" has a small bed. I can't see too many 4x8 sheets of plywood in the back of it. Its more like a Panamera than a "truck."

This is not a truck. Trucks look like the Ford F-150, the Dodge Ram or the Chevy Silverado.

Concepts mean nothing to me. It’s like trying to jockey their stock with vaperware.

Pretty much none of this will come to market in an Audi vehicle in the US. It’s not a real pickup. The automated driving with the steering wheel put away will not be legal. The 55 series tires on a pickup are a joke with severely limited offroad ability. 99% of US EV pickup buyers will choose an F-150 or Rivian over this.

It’s a concept, so we will never see one anything like this, just like the new Ram concept pickup. The production model is a joke.
