Backlog Delays in the U.S. Asylum and Immigration Court Systems

The backlog in the U.S. Immigration courts and Asylum Division is rising at an alarming rate. Most wait two to three years to have their cases heard, and some five to six. Meanwhile their lives are stuck in limbo, and the integrity of the system is undermined.
