I live in WNC. Just TODAY i got an email from FEMA apologizing for the "delay" and asking if id been given assistance. I sent back a scathing response reminding them that its been nearly 2 months since the storm hit and that my application for assistance was immediately denied as soon as i submitted it. It is disgusting that they have the audacity to claim its a simple "delay"....and then didnt even know id been denied already, that id already filed an appeal, that i already applied for the SBA disaster loan and that ive just been sitting here for almost 2 months waiting for a response from both of those agencies. Something needs to be done...im lucky that my house is ok for the most part. But there are many others who lost everything who are also in the same boat and NO media is talking about it.

Swannanoa looks like the Apocalypse. Swannanoa River Road looks like a bomb exploded every 25 ft.

It's disgusting that we give billions of dollars to foreign countries to fight wars and we abandon our own people.

I live in New Zealand an old lady renting a bedsit, (not a big luxury house like many think we all live in here! :-) and I'm very grateful for it. But I'm angry and hurt for the people of NC, who are being treated worse than a dog! It's illegal not to provide shelter & food for a dog, but they are denying you good people, the very basics of life! My heart goes out to you at the massive betrayal by ur govt. God sees it all and says, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay!" prayers are for you all. Don't allow bitterness in, He will retribute every deed and every injustice.
