Dash Cam - Using Power Bank with a Dash Cam

Demo the use of a Dash Cam with an External Power Bank, what I'm doing is creating a Parking Monitor instead of using the Parking Monitoring feature of the dash cam, since that functionality is gimmicky and does not really work. This methods provides a very reliable means to do the same thing.

Oh I never thought of this. Awesome! I bought the same exact dash cam as you have and didn't realize it wouldn't work while parked because my front power in my car only provides power while the car is on. This is a real nifty way to resolve this problem. Many thanks.

This is perfect, I happen to have a battery pack that I recently got and this would be perfect for running two sets of Rexing V1P + Dash cam's. while running my battery pack into a dual Cigarette lighter splitter so I can charge my phone at the same time.

I'm doing the same with a twist. The battery bank I have will be charging on the lighter while the output is to the cam. No swapping wires.

I heard that this could be done but I never followed through with doing it, and boy do I wish I had, some fool rammed my bumper as I was parked on the street outside my duplex and caused about 1300 worth of damage smdh I'm ordering this power bank asap, and this video deserves way more likes 👍👍👍

Excellant. I tried this with garmin minis and a 26800 powerbank. Only problem is the minis overheat and fans are necessary. Black interior definitely does not help.

Which battery are you using? Can't you keep the webcam connected to the battery permanently and keep the battery connected to the 12V outlet?

Whilst using the power bank, I also keep a cable from my power bank to the cigerette socket. Then power my Dash cam, from the power bank, at least then when the Engine is running the power bank also charges at the same time as powering my Dash cam, ( Netbase 512 GW Ultra )

is it safe to use Anker PowerCore Select 20000mAh Power Bank on rexing dash cam for hrs while parking? what are the disadvantages if leaving it in the vehicle during hot and cold weathers? just making sure that battery don't get damaged or explode.

What do you guys think? If power bank hidden in the car seat or some place far from away sun for dash cam without charging power bank, is it good recommend for safety use?

I use one quality(more expensive)20.000 mAh power bank and one cheep 20.000 mAh.I use them only for parking mode and when driving, dashcam is conected to the car battery..Only issue is, you need two power banks.To change full with empty one.In my case, every expensive last 2-3 days and cheep one 1-2 days.I used to it, it's now routine..My dashcam is always on stand by and records only when "something happens"..I don't like battery-dasccam wiring.

I just have my dash cam plugged into a power bank and then power bank into car plug. This way the power bank is constantly topped up when I’m driving

Hi, been searching tirelessly on internet and finally found this video. My question is I want to purchase a dash cam, which I've found many. However I'm very interested in park mode when I park at work, since I've already been the recipient of a scratch on my new car. If I park for 13 hrs. or also on a fully charger Kmashi Powerbank do you think this would work if I put the dash cam to sense impact or movement.

Surely the duration you can record for in this method is limited by the resolution and memory card you're using, rather than the battery. So typically about 7 hrs at 1080p for a 64gb card. After that, you're going to be writing over the earliest footage.

This is what I am trying to figure out. Thanks for your experience video. For lasting longer recording & battery life, possible to downgrade the solutions from 4K to 2K or lower that still good enough to capture as parking is stay still?
