Algae Filled Panels Could Generate Oxygen and Electricity While Absorbing CO2

Greenfluidics, a Mexico-based startup, promises newer, greener bio panels that can provide fresh oxygen and considerably bring down your power consumption while also delivering biomass based fuel to you.

The company claims that each of its panels can generate 328 KWh/m2 of energy per year while also saving 90 KWh/m2 of energy by keeping the heat during colder weather. During summer, the same panels can offer a shaded effect and keep the interiors cooler. We can assume that these numbers are under test conditions, and the panel will perform at lower numbers in the real world.

I don't see their purpose of using algae at all besides for the fact it makes it look cool and it eats CO2. The electric generated has nothing to do with the algae at all. You might as well put a regular solar panel behind an algae fish tank.

If we could get this widespread

as well as figure out how to lab grow metals, I think thats our best shot at greening up our future. These get rid of CO2 while producing oxygen and energy.

lab growing metals would make it so we dont need to carve up the earths surface to make batteries and other technologies.
