The biggest prize of all. An Olympic gold medal is the ultimate dream, the reason for turning up day after day, week after week, year after year. All the graft, all the blood, seat and tears comes down to one race in one of the most iconic settings in the world.

What will it take to top the podium at Paris 2024 and leave with the gold?

For the last six months, World Triathlon has been following the athletes at home, on training camps and at races around the world as they try to qualify for the Games. Some made it, some did not, but the race for Olympic gold was never going to be easy. For the first time, World Triathlon has followed their journeys to share the incredible stories like never before, hearing their hopes and dreams, worries and challenges, up close and personal.

This 8-part series follows the journeys of 14 of the world’s top triathletes - Flora Duffy, Kristian Blummenfelt, Alex Yee, Cassandre Beaugrand, Hayden Wilde, Taylor Knibb, Matthew Hauser, Beth Potter, Dorian Coninx, Georgia Taylor-Brown, Vincent Luis, Gwen Jorgensen, Miguel Hidalgo and Laura Lindemann - as they chase a shot at Olympic glory in the French capital.

I dared to dream that the men triathlon would have happened on the day it was planned.
I missed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch it live, but that pales in comparison to the lack of respect shown to these athletes. They woke up at 4 AM, only to learn that their event, planned over three years, was postponed due to very predictable water conditions...

Una vergüenza la organización y sobre todo que no se pueda garantizar la seguridad de los atletas en el agua por los niveles de contaminación. Se entiende que el Sena es una linda escenografia, pero era mucho más loable programar el evento en algún lago artificial que se pueda controlar y asegurar la calidad del agua para tremendos profesionales que llevaron.
