Return to Dun Coillich | Walking the Scottish Highlands

This was attempt number 2. On my last walk up Dun Coillich, I never made it to the top, which was shrouded in cloud and I only was able to see half of Schiehallion, the ‘hill of the fairies’, who dominates the landscape. This time it was clear and sunny, but also cold and very windy. It was hard to walk in a straight line and I couldn’t stare at Frostgiant Schiehallion for too long, otherwise my face may have frozen stiff. Regardless, I accomplished my mission and even kept my feet dry this time. On the last walk I put my soaked walking boots straight into the bin. If you ever decide to come here for a walk in Winter or Spring, be aware that this area is practically a bog. ☟☟☟
