I'm not Cuban, I'm from Guatemala and I've tried delicious Cuban food. I am a little surprised as to why they didn't make a better selection in foods to Represent Cubans. I'm sure you Cubans are questioning the selection of food as well.

I'm half Mexican and half Cuban and man I love it when both sides of my family hook up because it's absolutely heaven.. you got your carne asada, tortillas, frijoles, tamales and then you got your vaca frita, arroz congri, yuca fries, and lets not forgot platanitos fritos! I love being latina and I love being mixed with two different latin ethnicities!

Oh, I love cuban food sooo much. I was born and raised in México but my grandma is Cuban, so I grew up with a lot of the cuban food and culture mixed with the Mexican culture. Honestly when I think about food that tastes like home, I don't think about tortillas or tamales, I think about arroz con carne de puerco and tostones

Soy mexicana and I used to work as a waitress at a Cuban Restaurant. I am a broke college student but I was never hungry!! The food was absolutely amazing, and the cooks were so wonderful to me. I have been trying to do some cuban dishes during this quarantine and they are not as good but my kids will for sure grow up eating cuban food.

I come from a Mexican background, and I LOVE Cuban food! :D That being said, a lot of these dishes, or at least variations of these dishes, can be found in parts of Mexico, even if the people in the video have never eaten them before. Yuca, for example, is a staple in Veracruz, Yucatan, and Oaxaca, just to name a few places within Mexico. The thing I found most troubling was the lack of familiarity with Arroz con Pollo. Seriously? That's a dish that we share from Mexico all the way down to Argentina! I was raised on Arroz con Pollo! I don't know how or why these folks were never exposed to it. :(
