Easily in my top five shows of all time. I hope more people get to find out about this absolute masterpiece.

I love this theme, even more than the Ted Lasso opening song. I really like the line "I wanna hear myself think again", really encapsulates the series.

It's crazy how recognizable his voice is. As soon as the title sequence came on while I was watching the show, I could tell it was the lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie.

For the longest time I misheard "pull me out of the drink" as "pull me out of it, shrink" and honestly I cannot decide which context I like more. Both give their own melancholic meaning.

These days, I've been barely holding on
Climbing the walls every dusk ’til dawn
Fearing the future,  morning will pass
The hours moving slowly, then vanishing fast

But I'm trying in my way to concede
And to tell you just what I need

Help me carry this weight that's dragging me down
Pull me out of the drink before I start to drown
Let the wreckage all sink to where the fishes are frightening
I wanna hear myself think again

I wanna hear myself think again

For so long, I’ve been turnin' into the skid
And waltzing away from the damage I did
I'd brush off my shoulders and tuck in my shirt
And flee from thе scene beforе I knew I'd been hurt

But I've been trying my best to concede
To cease, to take, just receive
'Cause there's more than you love that I need
That I need

Help me carry this weight that's dragging me down
Pull me out of the drink before I start to drown
Let the wreckage all sink to where the fishes are frightening
I wanna hear myself think again
Help me carry this weight that’s dragging me down
Pull me out of the drink before I start to drown
Let the wreckage all sink to where the fishes are frightening
I wanna hear myself think again

I wanna hear myself think again

Think again

Deathcab’s leading man is the absolute perfect person to write and play a song that perfectly encapsulates what this show is about. Credit all around!

I’m a big fan of the show and I love the chorus. Psychs/therapists have helped me a lot over the years - often because of grief over one thing or another. It fits.

I've been in and out of relationships for the past little over one year. My heart and mind feel broken. I bared my soul and gave my all, even though they were short periods. I never thought I was gonna feel like this again in my mid 30s. It's hard to think of anything but how bleak and empty the world is, and how I'm inching closer to depression. I probably have anxiety as well. It feels like my thoughts have been overtaken by heartbreak over and over again. Somehow, I feel this show is saving me, and this song embodies that visceral urge to just be okay again. I wanna hear myself think again.
