In this video, I show you how to use a plunger to unclog a clogged toilet. It is actually a simple process, and everyone should know how to do this because they're likely to encounter at least a few clogged toilets in their life. All that you need is a plunger and some elbow grease with the proper technique, and you'll be able to unclog pretty much any toilet in a matter of minutes. I explain the process and demonstrate myself using the plunger with the proper technique!

Oh my god after HOURS of trying to plunge, using dish soap, hot water, flushing probably no less than 20-30 times, I finally got it! Thanks for the emphasis on making sure there's a steady suction in there plunging, while the toilet has a high water level-- not letting go while you've stuck to the suction. Young person here who just recently lived away from my parents especially away from my dad lol. I watched so many tutorials, none of which helped me unclog my toilet. Finally this. The key is just to be aggressive and expect to get splashed. But I Worked on it for an hour before trying that and it worked.

Thank you so much!!! It worked fabulously! I did 3 or 4 sets of 30 REAL seconds of the aggressive push and pulls, (toilet was full of shit, literally, but I did hard pushes and slower pulls until the water got very low, as to not splash the shitty water everywhere, before I started to really go in when the water levels were very low.) I did 30 second sets as in stretching especially, 30 seconds is a great stetch. I also did 3 to 4 sets, because I've lived in this apartment for almost 6 years now and the plumbing can get bad, 6 apartments, I'm at the top, the building is over 100 years old, and I've talked to the landlord many times about it. We have a great relationship. Before I call him for anything I'll try on my own, unless i know it's something beyond me. I have a feeling i may have to do this a few more times in the coming week or 2, and if it doesn't get better, I'll give him a call to really get in there with his tools and fix it. Sorry for the long message. Hope this helps others.

Being in a depressed state mostly on and off, but mostly on, for the last month or 2 now has made it difficult to do even some of the most basic tasks. I had tried on my own to plunge, but I was doing it slowly and gently, and it only helped a tiny bit, I was frustrated so I kinda gave up and says, "let me check YouTube, I know someone must have a great plunger video."
