Been here for more than a year. Continuing to learn each and every day and still always learning more information especially after reading for 1 year. I agree with all your points and was one of the beginners that fell into the trap of paying a monthly fee for an Algo that rarely worked. Learning technical analysis is most important and same for price action. Good luck to all the new traders out there and always be open minded, patient, smarts, and accepting into what happens next in your trading journey. Each trade is a lesson good or bad. I’ve been trading for 3 years and for the first 2 years I was getting wrecked, for the last year I’ve been break even so I’m hoping I become consistent next year because this addiction to watching the charts every single day has cost me all of my relationships. I'm not a day trader but what little trading I do manage I do because its an annoying challenge and I have very few things in my life that are challenging. Personally I can't think of any better feeling than knowing you made the right call and made some money. perhaps thats the wrong reason to do it but it is mine.

Definitely solid advice. I've been watching you for over a year and thought I could move to full time trading after only about 5-6 months of trading on a sim. I blew up the first 2 accounts I funded before taking a big step back and now I'm giving it another shot but it's been over a year of getting used to the trends and price action and looking back now there's no way my strategy would've been profitable long term even if it worked in the beginning. Highly recommend doing a prop firm funded trading account as Matt suggests so you don't risk much capital at all. I personally use Apex trading as there is only one step to it but topstep is another solid one.

super solid advice matt! thanks for all the free content you post and for your daily livestreams. your videos are actually what ultimately made me decide to switch over to futures earlier this year. it's been a wild ride, many ups and downs, but don't regret it at all. futures have been by far the most consistent for me and my favorite instrument to trade, so thank you for putting me onto that!
