You're awesome!
Its not just another tutorial video

The background music you add, and follow, makes this video an 'art'

note that you don't have to borrow from just minor. if you know your modes, you can borrow chords from those modes. (i.e, borrowing the major II from lydian, the flat 2 from phrygian, or adding in the flat 5 from locrian for some tritone-y goodness). additionally, you can borrow when you're in any mode, not just major

I kinda knew everything already, but it was so very onpoint and objective I really wished I had learned through this video.

Very clear communication, I watched it once now I know what borrowed chords are. On the production side I would suggest losing the waterfall. It's just clutter and it distracts — the visual equivalent of someone playing a flute solo just loud enough to be noticed while someone is trying to sing!

Great info. Thanks Ian. Well done. Once again tho, vii is not in the sub-dominant family. It belongs to the tonic family. I-iii-vi.

Can you please make an explanation of modal interchange and explain what kind of chord progression used in the song "stairway to heaven"? Coz I really want to learn and understand more about chord progressions.

I like using phrygian dominant over major /dom chords and Dorian over minor chords its my own style.

Keep these up! You teach well 🔥👍 Quick question, can we borrow chords if we are in the minor scale from the relative major?
