The numbers here are over exagerated earning 100k in the uk is already in the top 1% of earnings. And dont forget that it also matters on the career choice a person will be choosing doesnt mean the person whos getting 8s and 9s will be choosing a career for instance the smartest kid in my class is going to be a neuro scientist avg salary around 30k while a mediocre kid that was in my class is going to be a lawyer ofcourse going to earn more money plus allot of smarter kids tend to go crestive industry thats whats happening to my friend shes very smart but has a passion for art lets be honest doesnt earn much or they go to like the scientific industry that unless its medicine in america you will be earning 50k or less.

This numbers does make sense but they are exaggerated and doesnt consider other factors such as career choice, location, family life, and emotional intelligence something that contributes to ones sucess not just a number of the GCSE. Furthermore it doesnt mean a person did well in their GCSE they will do well in college they migjt choose to flunk out or is not just as good anymore.
