Alexander McGillivray was a Creek leader during the late 1700s. He was born to a Creek mother and a Scottish father, and was fully integrated into both societies. He signed the Treaty of New York in 1790, which gave most of the Creek lands east of the Ocmulgee River tot he United States. But in return, the U.S. agreed to honor the remaining Creek boundaries.

My family sided with the French and was in GA.. The so called Creeks that signed the treaty of NY were wrong. That's literally why they left the land to do what they did.
