LEGO COMPETITION

Can anyone beat LEGO when it comes to building blocks? In this video I look into three different companies that compete with Lego, what that means to LEGO, and if there is any legal issues because of it.

Sadly, most people just label competitors as "knockoff lego". Then proceeded to complain about how overpriced lego is 😂

If we are are talking bluebrixx i got some of their creations at home, something i reallly like is their idea of creating sets with "DLC" You can buy castle bluestone with about 5500 pieces for about 200€ and that set is amazing it has incredible details 3 layers of removable floors to look at every detail and if that thing isnt enough and you want more you can buy the additional things like a tower with about 2000 parts a Dancing hall with about 6000 parts and more, the best thing about these is that the instructions integrate them into the base castle. My personal castel is about 24000 pieces big and weighs around 20kg xD

I don't think Lego has any competition. There just happens to be a few other companies that sell the same or similar products. I'd love Lego to have a few licenses that the other companies have, but I can't see that ever happening.

When it comes to certain trademarks & patents companies have only a certain amount of years to hold them. There are good laws in the USA to ensure companies can’t monopolize a segment but still be fair to the original company idea. I feel LEGO attempts some dumb lawsuits after their patents have run dry. Just accept it LEGO & evolve to stay on top…thats the beauty of the market. Keep creating just like the basis of your system. Great video Hive!

I grew up with the megabloks version of duplo at home and duplo at kindergarten because that’s what competition is. Despite legal issues LEGO can’t stop the increase of customers buying from their competitors. I’d much rather buy BlueBrixx ugly rock pieces and Cobi military vehicles for example
