Happy New Year, Everyone!! What planners are you using this year?

This year I'm using up old notebooks (some I've had since middle school! I'm 34!) and a hole punch to make a sort of 'coat of many colors' planner with different papers, different colors/sizes/patterns etc. I also tore pages out of old planners. I'm hoping using old stuff will both help me feel good for recycling instead of tossing, and overcome my not wanting to 'mess up' a beautiful new planner.

I have a personal planner, a homeschool planner, a faith journal, a five year journal, and a notebook for when I need to work through my problems.

I never thought about reusing a planner. I am going to try that. Never crossed my mind to whiteout the numbered days and use it again. About to gather my old planners now and see what I came come up with.

I honestly envy people for their ability to use multiple planners. I tried last year, and it did not work out at all. Although it makes so much sense to me to have a dedicated planner for different purposes, I just don't have the time or patience to keep up with them all. This year I purchased a very large notebook from 'Wish' and have made a customized catch all journal that is much easier for me to keep up with. Bullet journal in the front, then sections for what else I want to have separated. Keep up the awesome videos tho, you are giving me ideas for things I would like to start documenting. Much love.

I am getting a happy planner for this year. I have a Blue Sky one that goes to June. I am using my planner a lot now since my Zoom class schedule for my day program for adults with Autism changed a bit. I am adjusting to my new schedule. Change is hard for me due to my Autism. Having my schedule in writing helps me.

This is a great planning system, Sara. I liked that there is a main planner with the rest going from there. It’s basically how I’m doing my planning and reading system. I got an EDC one (Hobonichi Mega Weeks) with the rest going from that (5-yr Hobonichi A5 and A6 for memory keeping and gratitude/self-like; a DYI A5 journal). I also got a reading log system (a B5 Stalogy, Always Fully Booked, and some notebooks) that has been helpful in organizing my reading. Like someone said, keep the Hobonichi covers; as for the extra A6 techno, maybe give it to your hubby or even your son, which may help start him in his journaling. Hope that suggestion helps in some way. TFS!

Hello from (near) Houston. I have an idea for the little planner. I'm putting together a reference planner. It would largely be kept at home. As a new/prospective homeowner it's helpful to keep a list of all the measurements in the house, preferred paint colors, etc. If you find a couch you adore you could record the measurements and when you are house hunting you know if it would fit. We were flooded and in limbo waiting to find another house so it helped to have a place for all the ideas in my head. Also reference stuff, records of medical appointments, credit card numbers, maintenance on the car. Get it in a planner so it's not taking up valuable space 😂

I only use 2: Hobonichi Cousin Avec for daily journaling and art journaling. I don’t use the monthly pages but I use the weekly sections for gratitude, affirmations, ideas, photos, memories, more art. Next I use a Mega Weeks for my everyday calendar and planner and the back pages to plan, list, make notes on classes I teach, notes for when I travel, etc. I use various other journals for art (I teach artful journaling and I am an art teacher as well) and this year I am trying an Archer and Olive notebook with white, kraft and black pages. Thanks for all your info!
