So when I received the email about this I was definitely intrigued, and I also like waffles. So how could I say no? I'd also been seeing these bulk minis pop up on Amazon, so this was a great opportunity to check them out. Thanks again to folks from SCS Direct for sending these over for me to review!

That's one heck of a Title for a video. Better yet, it's not even clickbait.

FYI, anyone looking to use these cheap minis or other similar ones do not use basic spray paint primer, like Krylon, etc. If you've never worked with Reaper Bones or these other cheap plastics spend a little extra money on Army Painter or Citadel spray paints (at least from what I hear). The cheap plastic that is used interacts funny with basic spray paints and the paint doesn't fully cure. So your minis end up tacky, no matter how long the sit out to dry. It's a huge pain in the butt and well worth the few extra dollars for a higher quality spray paint.

I kind of want to grab those minis, they look like they'd be pretty good to clean up, rebase and kit-bash.

I think these would be really good for like a school's D&D club, and for games with your kids to get them started in the Dd&D world. You get a lot to work with for a easy price point. I would say these have a place in the market definitely. They would also be good for first time mini paints that want to try new skills on minis that are not super expensive if you make mistakes.

That pixie (and some of the other minis too) would be great as a statue on a DIY crafted fountain or other scatter terrain builds.

These are obviously mix-matched models from various toy sets.. but they work. You can't beat the price.

I got this set for my nephew last year. He is in a D&D club in his high school. They don't have any minis. The student that was running the club was using Legos. I thought they were really good for the money. Mine came in a tube when I got it. They were a lot more bent and warped then the one you have. You can reshape them really easy with boiling water. I kept 2 of each. A set for my 3 year old son to play with while we play D&D so he doesn't break my minis that I spent A lot of time and money painting. The other set for me to use in D&D. I painted the minotaur for a upcoming game I dont have a mini of one so it worked out great. Yes it won't be as detailed as the other ones but. Value for price is very good. I would recommend them.

I saw waffles first. The minis remind me of the green army men I used to play with in the dirt.I can see these being useful playing with my son.

This is honestly super helpful as someone who is strongly considering DMing this coming school year, I cheap need minis to act as baddies, NPC’s etc!

The snake tailed creature would likely either be a Greek mythology lamia, or you could use it as a lamia noble in FR, as those do have snake tails without the animalistic features on the homanoid portion.

Those cheap minis would be excellent for practicing painting for the first time, or perhaps to practice a new style/technique.

their overall size doesn't bother me, but I think their size vs each other does. The minotaur, should be bigger than the skeleton as example of what I mean
