I remember seeing a documentary about Appalachia and the people of that land. This is what the traditional music of those who settled in the area sounded like. It became joined to traditional African American music when the free Black people lived side by side with Scots Irish in those hills, and this was the beginning of rhythm and blues. Or so the documentary told it. ❤
