Help plant a pollinator-friendly corridor in Stow to support biodiversity and climate resilience!

Pollinators and native plants share a symbiotic relationship; pollinators thrive by feeding on native plants, and in return, help plants reproduce by pollinating them. Locations planted with New England natives need to be close enough for pollinators to travel from site to site. These can include replacing the grass along the sides of roads with native plants, turning your gardens into a safety zone for beneficial insects, and replacing parts of the lawn with natives.
Join us for this month’s talk from Randall Library and Sustainable Stow, on Wednesday, May 17th , at 7PM, where Peggy MacLeod will highlight how individuals and groups can improve biodiversity by collaboratively establishing pollinator pathways across neighborhoods in Stow. After a 30-year career promoting renewable energy and green building, Peggy MacLeod co-founded Western Mass Pollinator Networks and more recently helped launch the Massachusetts Pollinator Network. The meeting will include a facilitated discussion about possible steps to take that would expand and connect pollinator habitats between residential and public properties.
