How to Determine Optimal Drawdown Strategies | Midland Basin Case Study

This video covers my thesis at Texas A&M University covering optimal drawdown strategies in the Midland Basin. This workflow can be applicable in any basin, however. I give a lookback using decline curve analysis, rate transient analysis, and pressure transient analysis. These analyses show what drawdown opportunities are out there for the current wells in the study. Then I do a look forward using numerical simulation to determine what could have been the optimal drawdown strategy in the future.
